System Engineer and Support Specialist

Full time permanent role

Based from our head office in Takapuna, you will be part of our small but professional IT team, where you will be reporting to the Systems Engineer and Support Lead. You will hold a wide range of responsibilities such as testing, training and rolling out of new systems/hardware/processes. You will support the business on troubleshooting application issues and workstation issues for our internal customers, liaising with external suppliers, supporting our developer by writing VB, C# and T-SQL codes, always looking for ways to improve performance/security, and rolling out technologies company-wide.


This a permanent position, you will need to have the following skills/qualifications:

  • Eligible to work in New Zealand and hold a valid New Zealand driver’s license.
  • A tertiary qualification in IT from a recognised New Zealand tertiary education provider.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written as you will be liaising with internal and external parties.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and setting up Windows OS desktop workstations.
  • Solid understanding of the full SDLC and different methodologies
  • 1-2 years of experience of working with different types of APIs (both Rest and SOAP) and developing web API using Visual Studio and .Net Core 3.1 or newer
  • Basic knowledge of version control system, bonus if using GitBucket.
  • Great attention to detail with excellent time management and ability to prioritise work efficiently.
  • A great work ethic, be a team player and have the ability to work autonomously.
